Posture Correction

Posture Correction Workshop – Professional Certification

Prevent Pain Through Postural Awareness & Corrective Movement

Course Overview

In the modern sedentary lifestyle, poor posture is a leading contributor to chronic musculoskeletal pain (e.g., neck stiffness, lower back pain, and shoulder imbalances). While medical intervention is necessary for severe cases, proactive posture correction can significantly reduce the risk of pain and long-term dysfunction.

This 6-hour intensive workshop, led by a medical doctor and certified Pilates instructor course tutor, combines evidence-based theory with hands-on practice. Participants will learn to assess postural deviations using infrared posture analysis technology and design corrective strategies through manual therapy, Pilates-based exercises, and yoga props.

Key Learning Objectives

1. Postural Science & Pain Prevention (3 Hours – Theory)

   – Biomechanics of common postural dysfunctions (e.g., forward head posture, kyphosis, pelvic tilt).

   – Infrared posture scanning: How to objectively identify misalignments using advanced software.

   – Role of muscle imbalances (tightness/weakness) in chronic pain.

   – When to refer to a doctor vs. when to intervene with movement therapy.

2. Corrective Techniques (3 Hours – Practical)

   – Manual Therapy: Myofascial release and joint mobilization for immediate postural relief.

   – Pilates & Yoga Props: Use of stability balls, yoga blocks, and therapy ladders to restore alignment.

   – Progressive Exercises: Targeted Pilates movements to strengthen weak muscles and release overactive ones.

   – ase Studies: Live demonstrations with volunteer participants.
