Training and Assessment Skills for Master Trainer / Pilates Teacher Trainer
Course Introduction
A role of significant responsibility and high respect, one that every instructor aspires to achieve. This course provides a pathway for senior instructors aiming to become course trainers. The curriculum is divided into six key modules, covering the two foundational pillars of teaching and learning: demonstration instruction and training competency. The content includes training delivery processes, effective use of terminology, speech practice, facilitation skills, expression and presentation, as well as training organization and arrangement.
Course Structure:
The course totals 30 hours, comprising 6 units, with each unit lasting 5 hours. All instruction is conducted in Cantonese, supplemented by professional terminology in English.
Course Content Structure:
1. Master Trainer Role Definition and Core Competencies 5hrs
2. Advanced Pilates Teaching Methods and Movement Analysis 5hrs
3. Teaching Pedagogy for Classroom Engagement and Interactive Techniques 5hrs
4. Internship Guidance and Teaching Evaluation Skills 5hrs
5. Professional Leadership and Team Management 5hrs
6. CPD/PMA Certification Standards Development and Career Planning 5hrs
Assessment Methods:
· Unit Assignments (Course design, lesson plan writing)
· Practical Teaching Demonstration and Assessment (45 minutes)
· Theory Written Exam: 30 multiple-choice questions
Admission Requirements: Hold any recognized instructor certificate and have no less than 100 hours of teaching experience.
Upon Completion:
Graduates with excellent results in this Master Trainer Course who also hold an internationally recognized Pilates Teacher Trainer Certificate and meet specific conditions may receive a recognized badge and attain the Qualified Teacher Trainer (QTT) qualification. This enables them to teach the certificate programs they hold, including PMA 300, CPD 85, and UoSHK 45University shorts courses.
To become a registered QTT qualification, one must meet specified requirements and successfully train at least four teachers to pass the examination.
QTT has the authority to independently conduct teaching and sign off on student learning and assessment records.
Passing Standards: Attendance rate 70%; Theory exam score 70%.
Certificate Issuance: Jointly issued by ATFP and the University of Sunderland Hong Kong (UoSHK).
Advanced Pathway: Those who complete the above course and meet the examination requirements may be recommended to enroll in a UK university Public Health degree program.
